Default Tuna Idea

I am going to try tuna tacos later this week sometime. I am going to mix the tuna in taco sauce, then put it in the shell, put a little cheese on top, then put it in the oven for 5min to melt it. Anyone ever tried anything like it before???? It seems like it would be very easy to do and cheap as well, considering all the ingredients are dirt cheap. I guess it would have some carbs (shells), plenty of protein (tuna and cheese), as well as some fat from the cheese. Seems like a pretty decent high calorie meal.

I'll let you guys know how it goes, ill try and make it tomorrow sometime after I work, about 3 hours before I workout.

It's in the OVEN !!!! I put a can of tuna in a bowl, drained the excess water. Added tacos seasoning and some taco sauce. Mixed it up, put it in 3 taco shells, and put some mozzarella on top. Placing it in the oven until the cheese is melted fully. Please let it taste good, the tuna smelled a lot better than i thought it would, didnt smell good but it didnt smell awful.

Will reply back shortly

EDIT: Well damn, that was actually pretty good. The tuna almost tasted like the beef I make real tacos with. With the seasoning, sauce, and cheese it was a very mild taste at all. Guess i'll be eating tuna afterall.

Sound like good ideas guys.. the taco thing really is just a variation on a tuna melt.. which can be pretty tasty. I don't really eat tuna anymore.. just got tired of it but when I do usually would mix it with lowfat miracle whip, chopped green onions, pepper and a lil hot sauce and eat it on bread or a bagel, not bad.. basically just tuna salad. Sometimes I'd roast red peppers and put them in the sandwich and that was awsome.

Interesting!!!! I'm just boring, i just eat tuna out of the can, although can't really afford to have fun with if now anyways.. I am only eating to eat... not to enjoy, so why bother..... Good for you though! How did it taste by the way?

It was a lot better than I thought it would be. If it werent for the texture I would have thought it was a normal taco with beef. Next time I will make it in 4 shells though, a little too much meat in them. I think I may be doing this every other day about.
