Citrulline Malate Dosing
I just picked up some bulk CM as I decided to give this stuff a whirl as a pre-workout supplement.
For those of you who are currently using citrulline malate or have before, what is your recommended dosage? BN's article says " The effective dosages commonly seen in the literature is three to four grams twice daily" but I want to see what you guys have to say.
Also, do you just use one dose in your Pre-Workout shake or do you split it up throughout the day?
Any advice would be great.

For me, CM is one of the few supplements that I can notice the difference when I'm off it. I can feel that boost and experience less fatigue. By that token I have found it to work best with 3 or 4 grams pre-workout.
If I take less than that or split the dosage in two, say pre and post I don't get the same "boost". If I could afford more of it I would use it in this way pre and then take more post.
I only do it this way because that is how I've noticed the biggest immediate difference. You could call it a placebo effect but I've also taken it in split dosages though the day for a month because that is what some of my research indicated I should do and I was pretty confident this was the way to go but I didn't get the same results, placebo or otherwise.

I usually split it up, 2-3 grams pre, and 2-3grams post. Pretty much the same ass CEE. I also cut the dose in half on off days, just to keep some in my system, and help with cardio.

That is exactly what I would do, sticking w/ 3 grams, IF I could afford to keep more in stock.

its not that exspensive as I recall. are you buying bulk powder eric?
Either way i only lift twice a week, so that keeps costs down right now.

Yeah bulk powder. Absolutely it's not that expensive but when you add in all my other "must haves" and the cost of raising a son...well you know.

yeah, i feel your pain bro, I spend far too much on supps ... and I have cut back so much lately.
Its hard to imagine what I would spend if I didnt use bulk powders. I dont even want to think about it.

Thanks for the advice guys, I decided to do around 4 grams preworkout. So far I can actually notice an increase in energy at least for the first half of my workout (doing long DFT 5x5 days). I also am taking it prior to my HIIT sessions which helps since I do them on an empty stomach.
I guess when I took it a while back I was really only taking 2 grams so that was probally the issue.

Absolutely. I've tried smaller dosages because I'm so cheap and I definitely needed AT LEAST 3 grams. Hope you have a better result from it this time.
