pre/pos workout shake
How's this for a pre or pos workout shake?
3 pills White Blood (only before training) 36 g protein 5 g Creatine Mono 5 g Glutamine 2 tablets of BCAA 2200 from Dynamitize I take all this 30 mins before training ( all in the same shake) and another one right after training. Is there something I could add,or that doesnt mix well together?? Your advice it's appreciated Thanks |
Pre I would add about 20-30g of Dextrose/MaltoDextrin
Post I would add between 50 and sixty grams. That is if your goal is to build muscle. |
Dex isn't always necessary in the preshake depending on your goals and time of day you train. However in the post if you are bulking I would go with 50g of protein and 50g of dextrose and 50g of maltodextrin. Or you can subsitute some oats.

Thanks for the info
hey guys... thankx for the info off adding dextrose and maltodextrin.
Just for the extra information, Yes I'm trying to add muscle (presently 5.9", 173 Pnds. Goal to be 180) I train 4 times a week, late in the evening (after souper). As for the shakes, I can mix all the ingredienst together>??? Thanks again for the advice! |
You can do it either way. For the pre it is prob a lot easier to do it at once. Pre workout you're going to want a smaller shake unless you want to have to wait a long time before your workout. A large volume of liquid and nutrients in your stomach may not be desirable. But it's really suject to experimentation. If you're going to do that then an ISOLATE may be a good idea. Or do the bcaa's in the form of a POWDER (much more cost effective) along with some protein if you want.
For the post if you want to do it all together then make a large dilute shake with water only. That'll help it absorb faster. Do not mix in the creatine. Spoon it into your mouth with half the shake and then sip the rest for a while. If you want to do it separately do the carbs first. This is of course dependent on what is possible and convenient for you. I know I'm not the king-shit and I hate to point people to my own posts but since I didn't write the articles and others contributed there is a Pre-Workout nutrition sticky in the Nutrition section that has a ton of good info in it and it also covers post. |
