We all know that supplements are not a replacement for nutrition and training, but if you are looking for a supplement to enhance every part of your workout and take your gains to the next level... look no further than Purple WraathÖ by Controlled Labs.
PurplEAA ComplexÖ:
The Purple WraathÖ PurplEAA ComplexÖ is a very efficient formula based on the science of actual homo sapiens muscle protein and clinical studies on human amino acid assimilation. Essential Amino Acids (EAA's) are the "building blocks" of lean muscle mass, but the EAA's from whey protein can take hours to enter circulation. The solution is the Purple WraathÖ fast-acting, free-form PurplEAA ComplexÖ:
While essential amino acids function cohesively as a group to aid in your training, additionally they each produce a significant benefit when it comes training:
Leucine:
- Primary anabolic trigger
- Enhance recovery
- Optimize hormone levels
Valine:
- Energy
- Recovery
- Glucose production
- Nitrogen balance
- Anti-inflammatory
- Analgesic
Isoleucine:
- Energy
- Recovery
- Glucose production
- Hormones
Lysine:
- Beta-oxidation
- Nitrogen balance
- Calcium absorption
- Energy
Arginine:
- Vasodilator
- Nutrient delivery
- Anti-Catabolic
Histidine:
- Vasodilator
- Sexual function
Threonine:
- Nutrient uptake
- Immune system
Methionine:
- Enhance metabolism
- Energy
- Mood
- Antioxidant
Phenylalanine:
- Energy
- Hormones
- Mood
It's important to understand that our EAA Complex includes all of the BCAA's (Branched Chain Amino Acids) that you have used in the past, including a precise ratio of leucine. Research shows that blood levels of these KEY amino acids are directly related to muscle protein synthesis, so we formulated a comprehensive and efficient matrix to enhance lean mass directly and indirectly, and under various conditions. Now, that ratio is important, but there are some other very exciting points about this formula. Unlike some of the amino acid supplements on the market, you aren't paying for cheap "filler" ingredients such as dextrose or maltodextrin when you purchase Purple WraathÖ. Also, we chose not to include the amino acid glutamine since it is not an essential amino acid, and our bodies can synthesize it on its own in sufficient quantities. Because the studies that we based this formula off of do not use tryptophan and since it has the potential for "sedative" like side affects, we designed Purple WraathÖ to be completely tryptophan-free.
By combining intense exercise or weightlifting with the fast absorbing PurplEAA ComplexÖ you can rush nutrients into the active cells of your working muscles, creating an anabolic environment optimal for recovery and lean mass.
What would an EAA product be without some amazing support ingredients? Good, but not great. To make this formula great we added the PurplEndurance ComplexÖ.
PurplEndurance ComplexÖ:
You can't create an optimal anabolic environment without intensity so Controlled Labs decided to take things to the extreme with Purple WraathÖ by including the ultimate caffeine-free Ergogenic Complex:
So what does each of the ingredients in the PurplEndurance ComplexÖ do?
Beta-Alanine:
- Helps increase aerobic efficiency
- Helps enhance oxygen transport
- Helps to reduce lactic acid accumulation
Citrulline Malate:
- Reduces Lactic Acid and Ammonia
- Boosts energy production
- Has an oxygen sparing effect
- Boosts mitochondrial function
Betaine Anhydrous:
- Is a key osmotic/cellular hydration ingredient
- Enhances muscle fullness
- Acts as an energy enzyme protector
- Induces the conversion of homocysteine to methionine
- Elevates glutathione levels
- Promotes liver health
- Helps you maintain intracellular electrolytes
- Enhances metabolism
Ginger:
- Aids in nutrient absorption
- Enhances digestion/stomach function
- Produces a nootropic effect
Norvaline:
- Helps elevate naturally occurring eNOS
As you can see, we have responded to customer demand and the result: Purple WraathÖ...the most advanced pre-workout product available!!

Other Suppliments:
Fish Oil
Citruline Malate (extra)
CEE
Alcar
e/c stack (used sparingly)
Diet/Training:
I will be using the UD2, so Purple Wraath will be my pre and post workout nutrition for the depletion workouts. I will be using it with Pure Virtago after my intensity work outs.
I will be keeping a UD2 journal, but I will keep all info pertaining to Purple Wraath here.

Today was my first time using Purple Wraath. I took one scoop pre and one post, I also threw in some alcar and extra citruline.
My first impression is only about taste. It has a strange taste which is like nothing i've ever had before. It is Grape, but there is something else, and it seems very sweet. That being said I had no problem throwing it back, even after my depletion workout, and trust I wanted to puke anyway, so it was suprising that it even stayed down.

Question, do you find Purple Wraath to be a little gritty when drinking it? I've been taking it and it seems to be that way half of the time.

I've only had two doses, but i havent had any grit yet. I threw it in half a shaker full of water, so perhaps the excess water helped with that.

There is only one word to describe my post workout on thursday and thats WOW!!!
After my intensity workout, I threw back 2.5 scoops of virtago, and one scoop of purple wraath. Within 2hrs or so my muscles felt full and pumped, even though I was ready to pass out. Virtago will be a staple in my suppliment list as long as I can afford it.

this was my post in the virtago log. I will mirror those sentiments here. I am liking the purple wraath thus far. The taste isnt exactly my cup of tea, but it seems to have an effect on recovery.
I lifted heavy for the first time in over a month on saterday, and I was suprised to discover that sunday was not as painful as I had thought it would be. I had almost no soreness in my chest, which is odd considering it was the main reason I stopped going heavy in the first place.
The most suprising was the fact that my legs feel fresh today. I am used to needing atleast 3-4 days recovery after heavy squats, and deads. Although the lower back still was sore as shit, but thats always a problem area for me after deads.

I've changed my entire routine. I dropped the UD2 because of schedualing issues, and I'm switching my training up also.
I have a martial arts camp coming up in mid september, so my focus is going to be on endurance, plyometrics, and technique.
I will only be lifting twice a week, tues and thurs. I'm lifting in the higher rep ranges 12-15 with lighter wieghts then I would usually use. I will be using 2 scoops PR before I lift with some alcar thrown in. And 2 scoops post workout.
