Food/shakes only work as fast as you can process them. All weightgainer shakes are basically the exact same thing: Lots of maltodextrin and sugar.

If you changed your diet to include some more low GI carbs or fats with your meat, you wouldn't even need any weightgainer shakes IMHO. For instance, you could get a bottle of Flax seed oil for a whopping $12 that'll last a month. Each tablespoon is 120 cals.

With all that being said, if you can afford those weightgainer shakes, then more power to you.
Waaay back in the day when my diet sucked ass, I was very partial to N-Large-2, which 10 lbs went for $45.
