Default Whey for fat loss?

i've been readin a lot of stuff online, some says whey can help you loose fat, others say it will help you gain. here is my workout:
mondays lower body and HIIT
Wednesdays upper body and HIIT
fridays lower body and a 2 mile run
saturdays upper body and HIIT
i do count calories, i consume about 1300 per day, thats 500 less then required for me to maintain current weight. im not over weight, but i do have fat on my stomach, waist/hips, and thighs. i am an 18 year old girl, about 5-5ft 1in.
i want to know if whey can help me loose fat and gain muscle ( but not turn into the hulk or anything.)
i am also having my thyroid checked very soon, as i feel it may be under active, if that is relevant to the question.
Thanks for reading and for answering

It's all about diet. Whey won't necessarily do anything for you if your nutrition isn't in check already...

Whey is just an easily digestible form of protein, so there's no need to worry about adding weight/bulk. The biggest advantage to whey with fat loss is the ability to get enough protein with minimal calories.

Looks like you have a negative calorie balance so you'll lose fat. You may want to do your HIIT training on a different day than when you are doing your resistance training--especially leg day.

I don't think you'll gain muscle mass with 1300 kcal a day. Eat more healthy protein rich food and burn too much calories with cardio.

Yes, it keeps the cortisol level in your body lower. This will result in less insuline peaks (which is bad for weight loss)

Green tea will help a bit, yes. But don't expect too much from it. There are several products on the market that claims their green tea will help you lose pounds in weeks. Don't beleive this! If I take a whey shake my hunger goes away for one hour or so, because proteins digest slower than other nutrients.

Whey does 2 things. Healthy caloric intake and faster recovery with needed nutrients.

Effects of whey protein on human health are of great interest and are currently being investigated as a way of reducing disease risk, as well as a possible supplementary treatment for several diseases. Generally Isolate Whey are rich in reducing the fat substance in the body.
