Default Band Assisted Chin ups - Video

If you aren't strong enough to do chin ups on your own or simply want to do more reps, try using a JumpStretch band attached to the bar.

the only benefit is if you can't do your own bodyweight.

i can only do a couple of chin ups so far, would it be more beneficial to do 3 small sets to fail than something like this?

there's a training method called grease the groove...which would be really good for you how many can you do?

Grease the groove is only feasible if you can walk up to a chinup bar throughout the day. Even then I don't like it.

I personally do not like the method, even though pavel came up with it. For one it is not very practical and it also forces you to become very compulsive.

I would rather do very low density sets (1-3 reps) with high volume (8-10 sets or more).

I put together a step by step a while back on achieving your first pullup:

Can't do one Pullup? Stay Positive

Now, this is how to do it without band assisted or an assisted pullup machine. One way to do it I should say.
