thats what my goal was when i started.... im passed that now but if your just starting youll see your bench increase at quite a high speed to begin with then it will start to slow down once your past your own weight
all depending on you diet and work out of course
depending on what your weight is of course setting goal is a major part of keeping your focus, so if you weight 300lb and you can only bench 90lbs start with a smaller goal or you will find that reaching your goal will be hard and long... youll end up giving up
i was 170 and started at 90 for safe zone to get my stabalizer muscle use to a bench motion by the time i reached my own weight i was 160.... im now at around 190 and still weight 160-165lbs my goal for now is to hit 200... im still farely new at benching hasnt even been a year since i started working out lol
to every one their own pace
just keep at it
