The upper chest is still part of the pec major. I don't see how you can work the clevical section more or independently from the sternal.

I'm not refuting that the pectoralis is ONE muscle, I agree. I also want to state that doing bench press does in fact work the upper chest to some degree. But, what I am saying is that the tensile contraction will vary with certain angles of pressing. Some angles do in fact stress the fibers to various degrees, hence incline, decline, ect.

My chest is not very big...along with the rest of me. However, I do know people who have big chests (and arms, and legs, etc) and got them w/out inclines. I was just (poorly, I guess) trying to advance their argument against them.

Plus, my delts are weak, and I think they lead me to fail on the lifts before my chest is ready to.

My chest isn't really big sadly I can't do incline with the stuff i have at home. :(

When I find time right now full time job and on weekend my dad decided to want another garage so probably another month or so till thats done and after work I run 2 miles.
