The serratus will poke through once your lats develop and since they're (serratus) a fairly smaller muscle, they might only come through with diet. Similar to abs you may need to drop BF to make them show.

Muscle shape is primarily defined by genetics. But I'll leave that one for the Big Guy to answer.

Yup Yup...genetics do play that role no doubt. For the Endo body types (like myself) gotta really watch what I eat...and do cardio regularly....I hate cardio. lol.

I agree with Kane, I think you will notice it alot more with lower bodyfat.
