Cutting soon and looking for a routine.
I will be cutting starting June after a two month bulking/maintaining run at DFHT I've been on.
I'm looking to do either Pendulum or HST and a journal to compliment the routines.
The reason for both are because I've never done them before and I like the rep ranges that are utilized and the constant changes in them.
For HST, I would do the cut routine ranges of [15,12,10,8] that I saw in a thread I cant think of right now.
I would need help coming up the HST routine and I know 0311 has one, so you know I will ask for some info if I choose HST.
I'm looking to cut 1-2 lbs. of fat a week and I already have diet and cardio worked out.
Any recommendations?

best of luck... i am wwwaaayyyy less experienced to offer any solid advice, but fyi, i'm gonna start pendulum in a month (after my exams).. eric helped me with my program (though the final call on any exercises was MY choice - and i'm saying this so i'm not accused to misquoting anyone ....)
sorry if i'm unable to give any real advice... oh, and HST is kinda lame IMHO coz you'll be chucking strength mostly out of the window.. and if i i was given the choice, i wouldnt ditch what little strength i have for nuts..
now dont bash me for saying HST is lame... its only MY opinion and although it yields awesome results, its not really useful for strength....
anyways.. i just thought i'd chip in my 2C... hopefully, you dont mind..
Anuj
oh, and best of luck

Dave, check out my cutting journal for the HST style cutter (got it from 0311). I can tell you its a bit extreme, and if i remember correctly your pretty lean to begin with, so you might not need to go all out on it.
I will say that it has not only helped me lean out thus far, but i'm starting to correct some of this strength deficit I have. I havent worked in high rep ranges for so long, it really hurt my overall fitness level.
I would say post up your stats ht wt and bf if you know it, and what your goals are then we can better asses the routine.

I'm not bashing, I'm just going to "inform" you...HST ends with a 3-4 week cycle 4-6RM with about 3 sets per exercise....which is quite similar to Rippetoe's is it not? Keep in mind too, everyone has to "cruise" at some point, or you'll find the logbook beating your ass with a vengeance
And Dave, the HST routine 0311 hooked me up with looks amazing, I can't wait to start it. I'm not sure how well it would work as a cutter, but considering you've got about 30lbs of BF right now,IMO it doesn't seem like you need a really instense cutter. Maybe if you switched the rep ranges from 12-15, 8-10, 4-6 to 15-18, 12-15, 8-10 ? (cutting isn't my thing, but you get what I'm going for) In any event, I would definitely go with HST.

Full body HST is the way to go for cutting IMO. I'm trimming down right now using HST..Mainly cause it wouldn't make sense to bulk without lifting chest! Anyways, if you are looking for a serious cut, and I mean serious, then go with what Hrdgain's doing in his journal..THe HST 15,12,10,8 rm's. It's basically a circuit course which kicks ass for fat loss.
I'm doing the traditional (12-15), (8-10), and (4-6) RM's. I've cut out virtually all carbs (besides pre/post and mornings low GI) and it's been amazing. Only lean meats for me for the past 3.5 weeks, and very surprisingly I'm up 4 lbs!! I've also been doing cardio twice a week, low intensity high duration mixed in every other week with HIIT.
I'm surprised that my bodyfat is melting off while putting (back) on my mass. I'll email you what I'm doing for HST. It's basically 2 seperate workouts so the weight can stay heavy..Mon-A, Wed-B, Fri-A...Mon-B, ect..
BTW, a lot of people get worried with HST because of the use of light weights, far away from your 90-100% RM. By me incorperating 2 seperate workouts like A2G squat on workout A, deadlifts on B, I can keep the weight heavy. So instead of progressing each exercise through 6 workouts, I only have to progress through 3 each..
