Default For gaining strength

What is most important for gaining strength- insreasing the weigth, the sets or the repeatings of an exercise? What is your personal opinion? Thank you in advance for your attention.

I think the best way to gain strength is to increase the weight. Just increasing set and reps would be increasing your muscle endurance. However, when you simply can't add any more weight to the exercise, you can add sets and/or reps to bust through the weight plateau. I hope that informs you correctly..

Well exercise is the source of gaining strength and also diet plays an important role in gaining weight. So both are important in this case.

I think increasing the weights can effectively increase your strength. It's just my personal opinion and I based it from my own training

It depends to a certain extent on how long you've been training. Beginners can usually make linear progression, meaning they can get a little stronger each week.

More experienced trainees do better with periodization--starting with higher rep ranges and working down to lower rep ranges over a period of weeks/months.
