HI, I am new to the forum. I'm 52 and been working out since 16 yrs old (on and off). I would like opinions of my routine. I work out 3 times a week. Mon, Wed, Fri. I work out for about an hour and 15 minutes. The last 25 minutes are on the elliptical. I try to mix up my excercises.
Monday: I work back, I do 16 sets of 12 reps each. Then 9 sets of biceps 12 reps. I work out pretty fast with little rest between sets.
Wednesday: Chest, 16 sets , 9 sets of triceps.
Friday: Shoulders 16 sets 12 reps plus 4 more sets for traps. Legs, 12 sets.
I recently changed my routine to 12 reps for each set and don't bother with light or heavy days anymore. I feel like I am getting better results doing this. I don't want to change my 3 day routine either. My biological clock is ticking and I want to look and feel better, I don't care about strength.What do you guy think of this routine? To many shoulder sets?
