new to training
ok so i am 14 and wanted to start training to work out pretty mucheverything cuz im weak, im 6'1 and 175 lbs, i dont really have anything to workout with besides a 20lb dumbell, and a crappy bench, and a big punching bag, anyways i can only do like 70lbs bench pressing, i am trying to get a 6 pac and a bigger chest, what kind of workout equipment should i look into getting? and what should i do to start out withought equipment? i was thinking like run for 20mins on treadmille, then walk like 3 mins to cool down, then go and work on like 15-20 pushups if i can and like 50-60 sit ups, then going and doing like 5 mins(if i can) of jump roping, what other excersizes do you suggest? i was thinking after i get use to working out i can start working out for like 2-3 hours a day 4 days a week, please help me out

well start reading the stickys and don't procrastinate on it.
Now what you can do in the mean time is take that big punching bag you have and start lifting that. I'm not joking. Start reading on how to do cleans, squats and overhead presses and incorporate that into your workout. It may not be the "conventional" workout but it'll work. I was working out over a vacation and all I had was a duffle bag and a bunch of sand and all I did was circuit training, one of the hardest workouts I've done. Also, do you not have a gym at your school?

I don't know specific brands but just the essentials, bench, bar, plates. But Like I said you can always lift that punching bag around. You'd be surprised on what a workout it could be.

Read, read and read more on the subject. The stickies here are a pretty good starting point.
Read people's journals on this site. You'll find a variety of workouts and exercises to fit almost any goals and schedule. You'll see what worked for the guys (and gals) and what didn't.
Try to incorporate a lot of compound movements into your routine (squats, deadlifts, cleans, bench, rows) and keep the isolation moves (bicep curls, leg extensions) to a minimum.
Read teh "What a body builder eats" sticky to get an idea how to get your diet in check.
Remember: You grow outside of the gym, not in it.
Just some thoughts.

And, PS:
Try to put your posts into multiple paragraphs and use capital letters. They will be much easier to read and you will get more and better responses.
