Default newbie needs advice

hi, I started going to the gym for a bout a month and a half. Some people say that I lost weight. But what I really want is to gain muscle. Especially on my chest, abs, bicep/tricep and shoulders. Can someone help me with a program that i can follow. I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. and as much as possible, I'd like to exercise a two specified area everytime i workout. Please do help me. tnx a lot.

Pochi, at this point i wouldnt suggest doing a training split ("two specified area everytime I workout"). A full body routine 3 times a week would be optimal for you. Read through the Ultimate program resource list sticky, and check out the bill starr or Ripptoe 5x5 programs.
