I've always had strong legs so squats has always been by best lift. My problem with the deads is my forarms give out before my back. I simply can't hold the weight towards the end... I think I need some straps ASAP.

Straps will help, but I would only use them for the heaviest sets so your forearms still get stimulated with enough work to grow. You can get a good pair online fairly cheap.
