It's been about 9 days and I feel a lot better now. Almost no pain at all unless I try to do quick bending movements. If I wouldn't have improved as I have, I most definitely would have scheduled an appointment with a doctor.
Hurt like hell to wear anything but sweat pants the first few days. Had to wear bandage around abdomen at work for first few days and wore a sweater to hide the fact that I was not wearing a belt.
I lifted but early on it was exercises with virtually no ab involvement and then I later progressed to light seated press and some bicep/tricep as well as leg extensions and leg curls. I normally do not do isolation exercises but in this case I felt it was better than nothing.
I believe that the continued exercises helped the healing and I did it in a way as to not re-damage tissue. Today I will do squats and deadlift at 50% as long as there is NO sign of any pain.
