Default Question on a 4 day split.

Hello:

I’m getting ready to implement a 4 day split as follows:

Monday: Chest and triceps
Tuesday: Legs
Wednesday: off
Thursday: shoulders
Friday: Back and biceps

I’m going to experiment with sets and reps so each workout doesn’t run much over 45mins-1hour.

I’m wondering if anyone has had success with a 4day split such as mine, or if you have mixed it up differently with good results.

Any input would be appreciated.

You don't need a shoulder day. Personally, I'd rather see you do an upper/lower split than this bodypart thing, but whatever. What are your goals?

i agree with cradler, a 45min-1 hour session just for shoulders is waaay overkill and then to train back the next day? yikes!

if you're dead set on a bodypart split, you'd do better with a 3 way like chest,bis,tris/legs/back,shoulders or chest, shoulders tris/legs/back,biceps - shit like that. if you still trained 4 days a week you'd end up hitting a diff one of those sessions twice a week.
