Why do you all always say I am trolling? What does that mean? All I am trying to do is learn how to lift weights...

Most of the people on this site recognize the hard work needed and have taken bodybuilding/weightlifting/powerlifting as a lifestyle rather than a means to an end, where you seem to want to gain your 20" arms in 2 days and then drop lifting.

Basically its hard to tell whether you realize the process involved and if you're able to commit.

Stonew0rrior, I defitnitely know where you are coming from. That's why most of us didn't offer up a routine....and to be fair all you did was give a list of exercises. It's not your fault if someone goes in half cocked.

Jags, that is kind of what people are getting at. If you really want to learn to lift weights then you would already have done a lot of research and come to us with more specific questions and ideas of what you want to do.

Sometimes people use the work trolling not only to signify malicious people trying to upset members but also when people come on and beg for help without any specific questions and then disappear (or something like that).

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

Jags, Kane said it perfectly. This is a lifestyle not a whim for most of us. It is a major pain in the ass just to keep my diet clean and plan meals for the entire week. I work 10 to 12 hours a day and then I come home and workout and my wife is always bithchin about me not eating dinner with the family because I put my workout schedule first. My family as most normal people do eat when they are hungry I eat to feed my body and half the time I end up in a sweat and gagging because I am not hungry but I need to force down this chicken and rice so I can take a protein shake in another hour so I can workout in two. I will be sitting on a dozer on a 2 to 1 slope trying not to slide off the hill while I am choking down some broccoli and fish it never ends. Working out is the easy part, that is what I enjoy the hell out of, it is the diet that will make or break you and it is all consuming. That is how I ended up here, I have worked out on and off for 21 years (Longer than you have been alive) But I am always learning and looking for new ideas and listening to other people on what they are doing and what their results are. The day I know it all I will be pushing up daisies.

Sorry, I forgot to comment on the groin pain during deadlift. One thing to keep in mind is that many times what seems like groin pain is actually due to stess in the lower abdominal wall. Probably need to use less weight. Also bending over too much, I think, will increase the pressure on the abductors (groin muscles).....so read the article and make sure your shoulders aren't travelling past the bar, etc.

How many times do I have to tell you all that I am in it for the long haul! Stop saying I am not! I am going into my second week of Warrior's program for me and I will not stop!

I am not a quitter.

Good I hope you are, keep us posted on the results and be smart about how you lift. Make sure you have a good understanding of how the lifts are performed and what your weight range should be. Good luck! Oh BTW go rub one out or find a girl, your way uptight :-)
