i've seen some god-awful "trainers" in gyms in the past. i remember one guy would stick his client on a tricep pressdown or leg extension machine and then just talk to other people the whole time they were doing their "set" of 12-15 reps with one plate on the machine.

to the OP: i know nothing of figure comps but a person with some experience could be helpful to you even just for little aspects like hair, makeup, posing etc etc.
btw that is some great progress, seems like you got the training and dieting part down pretty good!
