Just joined this site as I wanted some feedback on my progress.
I've uploaded some pics of myself, been training for about 9 months properly now. The first pic is into about 5-6 months. I was eating real healthy and doing lots of cardio than, so I was leaner than now, but pretty skinny I guess. I was about 165 pounds then. Got advice to get "bigger" so that's what I've been trying to do.
The second pic is about 2 months (about 8 months into training)later and the last pic 3 months later (about 9 months into training).
Since the first pic, I've been trying to put on muscle. Eating like a horse and sleeping like a log like I read somewhere. My bodyweight has increased to ~ 180 punds and I'm eating most days about 180g protein (some days less, about 170 and some days more about 200). I'm also doing most of the compound exercises, eg deadlift, bench press, lunges, squats, and leaving 2 days rest between exercising the same muscle.
I've obviously gained weight, but I was wondering if you you guys could comment on:
1. whether I look like I've gained muscle around the chest. I can't tell too much as I don't know exactly how to look at the pics and the fat around does sort of blur how I see things.
2. My body is looking pretty ugly now, compared to before, lol, and sometimes I get the urge to lose the weight, but I'm trying to keep going. Is it normal to notice a less appelable body when eating more calories and "bulking"?
3. How long should I keep this phase up before I try to get leaner?
I just need some feedback on general things, and any further advice. Thanks in advance.
