I've been off for about 1 1/2 years doing track and xc.

I was just wondering what programs would i use to cut and if rippetoe is used as bulk by anyone else?

I would say just use rippetoe even if you want to cut. It wont' be as effective as it could be but you've been off for long enough that you require a basic program again. Or at least thats my thoughts. Anyone else wanna chime in here?

Some other things they might want to know:

What are you lifts at now?
What is your diet like now?
What are you stats? (weight, height, bf%, age?)

I don't think the OP has a very large bf%. It's just my guess since there's been no specifics, but I think this is the case of a 170lber with a little tummy fat or lack of freakish muscle striation.
