Default protein shakes

how many a day do you have guys

for instance i know most have one after a workout
but would that mean that if you had one
in the morning and you went to the gym
around 11-12, would you have one again then
or would you wait till later in the day ?

it doesn't matter....just make sure you hit your calories/macros. if a shake helps that...then drink another

Shake with Creatine post workout (11: 45) and another at 4:00, first break at work was a low point of nutrition for me.

You should drink one before you work out too. I drink one right before i work out in the morning for about 25 grams and toss in a serving of Dextrose for the Carb.

Right after i work out i go upstairs and cook breakfast so i dont bother w/ a post-workout

I drink chocolate milk often and eat a lot. I haven't had a shake in a month or two.

So right when you guys are done training, you instantly chug your shake?

Is it bad, if i let my body rest 15-20 min then drink my shake?

This is my routine:

I would eat a good breakfast (5:30am)
3-4 hours later eat a snack or small meal
2-3 hours after eat lunch
Rest then train after 12pm
Drink protein shake
Eat dinner
Eat a snack
Drink shake 30-45min before I sleep.

How is that routine?

Within 30 mins, the sooner the better. And when the money flows better I will add pre-workout to my diet.

there's a good stickie right in this forum "training" called pre and post workout nutrition, read that one. do you understand why you drink a "protein shake"?? Food can do the same thing, so ideally in a perfect world you could just eat the right things at the right time and never need a shake, if that makes sense. Shakes are just fast and easy.
