i call both of them pullups/chins interchangeably.
because....
A: i'm pulling my self up.
B: i'm getting my chin up above the bar
how about...i did pullups....with a supinated grip

and i usually do three different grips...one for each set. first supinated medium grip. wide pronated. hands touching supinated. it just makes for an easy journal entry to call them pullups.
