Bench - 225X0 (twice), 185X8, 205X5, 215X3
CGBP - 175X5, 185X4, 195X2
Tri extensions
Squats - several singles 135 to 155
I kind of realized today that I need to be working at a much higher intensity with bench press. If at the beginning of a workout I can do 185X12-15, then I should probably be able to press 225 once. I changed my form on the first max attempt & all of my warmup reps by tucking my elbows. I'm going to start benching like that from now on.
Part of the problem may have been that I got up at 5am yesterday & drove to Chattanooga, TN for Pat's PL meet & drove most of the way back in the evening...didn't get home till 2am. He ended up squatting 900. It was not a good lift. He could do plenty more IMO. Probably 950 to 1000. He kind of good morninged the 900. Then he took a token bench & missed 540 & 565 because of issues with his shirt. He smoked 635 & 675 on DL, but his back tightened up. We massaged him & tried to get him loosened up, but on his 3rd attempt (700), he never got the weight off the floor & popped something in his back. He'll probably be okay; I don't think it's a ruptured disc, but he's still pretty fucked up today. It was still a pretty awesome experience being at a meet like that. I saw a 725 bench attempt (I think he got it on his next attempt), a 1000lb squat, and a +800lb DL. Pretty cool stuff.

Yeah, but I can't squat more than 155, I can't deadlift, and my bench SUCKS. I really do want to...it was very motivating. I need to work on this hamstring. I ordered one of APT's new belts and some 24" wrist wraps today. I'm hoping this belt is as good as the elitefts belts. I really like their belts & I don't really care for a lot of the APT belts. This one was pretty cheap but it looks good, so we'll see.

James Searcy was at the meet. He tried a raw 875 squat twice but couldn't get depth. That would have been a raw world record, I think....or it would have been close. Supposedly Mark Henry squatted 948 but it wasn't at an IPF meet. I was hoping to see Searcy deadlift since he would have done +800. He only did the squat portion though. I'll let you know when the videos are up from the meet.

Wow that would be pretty awesome to attend one of those meets. Thats too bad about your buddy but I guess when you're lifting insane weight it probably comes with the territory.

Hyper extensions - 5X5 BW
Squats - 3X5 135
Leg curls - 3X5 40lbs
I felt like the king of the world today. Look at that massive squat!!! Today was an awesome workout. My hips have regressed since I haven't been pulling or squatting. My hamstring & glute activation is good and my form looked/felt spectacular. The hips should get used to squats very soon. I could have done more today, but I might have injured myself also. I'm happy with this rate of progression. With such a low intensity, I should be able to manage a frequency of about 3 times/week with the above workout. I doubt I'll do the same thing twice though. I feel great.
