Started off with Pull Thru's - 3x20 with light weight

Moved on to Deadlifts 3x3 365,385,405 - This last set was a good weight for 90%.

Had a wicked day in the gym tonight. Another guy was there with about 5 different bench shirts. Different sizes. I tried out 1 ply size 54 and it fit perfectly.

Flat bench with shirt after a nice warmup.
1x315
1x365
1x405
1x455 (three board)
1x460 ( two board )

This shirt is brand new , hasn't been worked in and I have never used one before. So a few firsts

After finishing up ( which I'm still pumped for pressing 460 ) he tells me that the shirt is mine , for FREE ! a $250 shirt for nothing...How sweet is it being in the right place at the right time !!

One of the guys he knows just got sponsored from some oil company , they told him to get whatever he wants , so he went and grabbed out 10 different shirts ( thickness and size ) Not bad at all !

Now I just have to work this thing in and start increasing my weights. There is a comp that I can go into next May. Mikey was impressed with my lifts for never putting on a shirt before.

It's tight and not very comfortable

But that's a small price to pay for big numbers !

Thanks - I'm still pumped

I want to get some briefs also. Money is tight here too, for now. I might be able to talk some family members into some Christmas gifts

I wish I had my camera with me. I didn't know that I was going to do this just walked into it. Next time forsure. I have to talk with Mike again and we need to work something out where we can get in and train together.
He is in a meet next weekend , so he has taken some time off work until after that.
I'll get with him next week sometime and have another go at it.

It's nice having him around , he's been doing this for almost 3 years and dose have some big lifts.

Side note

Did you have any trouble "learning" the shirt? It supposed to be very different from a normal Raw bench groove did it feel hard to "pull" the bar to your chest (board)?

I only ask cos a few other peeps logs Ive read say it takes a while and needs lots of practice.

Yes

It felt like it took more out of me pulling it towards my chest than pressing it. specially with the lower weight ( 315-400) once I was up to 450 + it came down better , but the lower it got the more it hurt.

I still need alot more practice with the benching and the shirt. I'm so use to a decline that I need to work on my flat bench and getting a nice arch.

The best thing I like about it is it takes all the pressure off the shoulders.
